Boulevard of Broken Dreams |
...I walked a lonely road I'm the only one i walk alone...
I walk a lonely road..The only one that I have ever known..Don't know where it goes..But it's home to me and I walk alone..I walk this empty street on the Boulevard of Broken Dreams where the city sleeps and I'm the only one and I walk alone. My shadow's the only one that walks beside me. My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating.. Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me..'Til then I walk alone..
I'm walking down the line that divides me somewhere in my mind on the border line of the edge and where I walk alone.Read between the lines. What's fucked up and everything's alright..Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive and I walk alone..
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me. My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating.Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me..'Til then I walk alone..

English 101 |
Have you ever wondered why foreigners have trouble with the English Language? Let's face it; English is a stupid language. There is no egg in the eggplant. No ham in the hamburger. English muffins were not invented in England. French fries were not invented in France. We sometimes take English for granted, but if we examine its paradoxes we find that: Quicksand takes you down slowly..Boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig. If writers write, how come fingers don't fing.If the plural of tooth is teeth, shouldn't the plural of phone booth be phone beethIf the teacher taught, why didn't the preacher praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what the heck does a humanitarian eat!? Why do people recite at a play, yet play at a recital? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language where a house can burn up asit burns down and in which you fill in a form by filling it out. That is why when the stars are out they are visible but when the lights are out they are invisible, and why it is that when I wind up my watch it starts, but when I wind up this observation, it ends..
And that reminds me: A linguistics professor was lecturing to his English class one day. "In English," he said, "A double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative."A voice from the back of the room piped up, "Yeah, right."
And the final thoughts of the day ........ Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day. Why is a person who plays the piano called a pianist, but a person who drives a race car is not called a racist? Who's bigger: Mr. Bigger or Mr. Bigger's baby? Mr. Bigger's baby because he is a little bigger! |

"It's only work if somebody makes you do it.." |
...A day can really slip by when you're deliberately avoiding what you're supposed to do...
Sunday Morning.. after a long and rainy exam week.. There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want.. It wasn't a good week..Pharma exam was $#%@* hard! But what i like most about exams is the feeling of uncertainty after the test..It's like a bad after-taste of a 3-day old french toast sitting in the fridge..It's easier to "move on" if you'd just studied well the night before..right?! "When I grow up, I'm not going to read the newspaper and I'm not going to follow complex issues and I'm not going to vote. That way I can complain when the government doesn't represent me. Then, when everything goes down the tubes, I can say the system doesn't work and justify my further lack of participation."-calvin

i don't really like the uncertainty after an exam whether i studied for it or not. it sorta kills me, so on the contrary, i'd rather laugh, drink and be merry than think about it at the very least (wink, wink).

Waiting for the Bus |
I've been standing here. Waiting for the bus on a Saturday..Laundry on my back..Ultra-violet rays. Like I'm posing for a shot in a magazine. What the hell does it mean? I'm a traveling man..Straight from the can..I'm a thousand miles away from my number one fan. My folks are getting tight..Won't let me out at night. You can't avoid the complications when there's no reason at all. When the lightning strikes we fry..I'll drink my beer, I'll wipe my tears Southbound in the sky..
Another crime, another reason gets you everyday, the only time that you can talk, you ain't got nothing to say..Well, I'm caught up in a stupid game that I can't play..It's just a waste of time but I'm in it anyway..
I've been sitting here watching the signs..Too many cars at night belching in the moonlight..We're doing ninety as the sky turns to gray. The people look like bees buzzin' by the highway. The wheels are rolling like a rolling stone..Alone, I chose the road less-traveled on. Now I'm lying here waiting for the day On the second deck. Dreaming of a girl from a fairy tale..Chain around my neck..A ride is all it takes but pains get in the way. I'm in it anyway.. |

“WE BELIEVE that in the best humanitarian tradition of helping others help themselves, now is the time to join with other countries in a historic pact for compassion and justice to help the poorest people of the world overcome AIDS and extreme poverty. WE RECOGNIZE that a pact including such measures as fair trade, debt relief, fighting corruption and directing additional resources for basic needs – education, health, clean water, food, and care for orphans – would transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation in the poorest countries, at a cost equal to just one percent more of the US budget. WE COMMIT ourselves - one person, one voice, one vote at a time - to make a better, safer world for all.”

Blue Sky |
When do stars fade their light? Does the moon and the sun make it right? For you the world maybe like an endless storm chasing a mystery..
...rain will keep on pouring..Some things you can’t control. And while the sun seems far and hard to hold, it will unfold..
Is there hate in your heart? Does your body drop and tell you to stop loving you or loving me? When it all falls down you just sing with me..Coz there’s a blue sky waiting tomorrow. Waiting tomorrow shining and shimmering..A blue sky waiting tomorrow..Maybe it’s all we need. Oh don’t you wash away that smile. You just look out the window and see the light. It’s beautiful to be alive..It’s wonderful to live a life..The sun is sure to shine for you and me, for everyone. So don’t be sad it’s just the start of a new beginning in your life..

Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless.. |
Woke up this morning by a strange knock..3am..So i got up clicked on the dim lights and opened my door..Who's there? No one..I wandered around then...BLAG!!! i fell into a boundless pit..IT was a DREAM..When i woke up I was on the floor..Saturday na pala..I need to study for Pharmacology..Can't believe i'm going to spend this sad, rainy saturday morning studying..Nothing new..i'm bored..turned on the t.v. same news..hope all these clowns burn in hell..
...sometimes i think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us...

Someone’s gone away forever..Someone’s gone away too soon..Did they take him up to heaven? Or did they take him to the moon? Nobody answers all her questions, so she gazes at the skies maybe someday when she’s all grown up she’ll join them in their lies..And just before she turns away..She Crafts a little smile: “Someday I will take these flowers to the sky”

teaandsympathy Fare thee well Trade in all our words for tea and sympathy Wonder why we tried, for things that could never be Play our hearts lament, like an unrehearsed symphony
Not intend To leave this castle full of empty rooms Our love the captive in the tower never rescued And all the victory songs Seem to be playing out of tune
But it’s not the way That it has to be Don’t trade our love for tea and sympathy ’cause it’s not the way That it has to be
You begin And all your words fall to the floor and break like china cups And the waitress grabs a broom and tries to sweep them up I reach for my tea and slowly drink in
’cause it’s not the way That it has to be Don’t trade our love for tea and sympathy ’cause it’s not the way That it has to be Don’t trade our love for tea and sympathy
So fare thee well Words the bag of leaves that fill my head I could taste the bitterness and call the waitress instead She holds the answer, smiles and asks one teaspoon or two
Don’t trade us for tea and sympathy We can work it out

Is it sunny where you are? |
When we met light was shed..Thoughts free flow you said you've got something deep inside of you.A wind chime voice sound, sway of your hips round rings true..Echo's deep inside of you. These secret garden beams changed my life so it seems.Fall breeze blows outside, i don't bring stride, my thoughts are warm, and they go deep inside of you.And I never felt alone, 'till I met you. Friends say I've changed..I don't listen cause I live to be deep inside of you.Slide of her dress, shouts in darkness.I'm so alive I'm deep inside of you..You said boy make girl feel good..But still...deep inside...I've never felt alone, 'till I met you..I'm alright on my own..'Till I met you..And I'd know what to do if I just knew what's coming.. I would change myself if I could..I'd walk with my own people if I could find them, and I would say that I'm sorry to you, I'm sorry to you, but I don't want to call you, but then I want to call you cause I don't want to crush you, but I feel like crushing you and it's true..I took for granted you were with me, I breath by your looks and you look right through me..But we were broken and I didn't know it..Right...oh, what's right? Something's gone you withdraw and I'm not strong like before I was deep inside of you.I can go nowhere I burn candles and stare at a ghost deep inside of you..And some great need in me, starts to bled..I've lost my self there's nothing left, it's all gone..
-DEEPINSIDEYOUthirdeyeblind
..It’s been raining like the southern army where I stand Is it sunny where you are?

Mags' Lists of...PART 1
"For People Who Make Mistakes" ...
The Most Fun You've Ever Had BY MAGS
Secrets of Life
AUGUST EDITION
Ten secrets of living a not so normal life...
Ten -- "To make a bad day worse, spend it wishing for the impossible."
Nine - "If you do the job badly enough, sometimes you don't get asked to do it again."
Eight - "If people could put rainbows in zoos, they'd do it."
Seven - "Oh, great altar of passive entertainment... Bestow upon me thy discordant images at such speed as to render linear thought impossible!"
Six -- "There's an inverse relationship between how good something is for you, and how much fun it is."
Five -- "There's no problem so awful that you can't add some guilt to it and make it even worse!"
Four -- "You know how people are. They only recognize greatness when some authority confirms it."
Three - "As far as I'm concerned, if something is so complicated that you can't explain it in 10 seconds, then it's probably not worth knowing anyway."
Two -- "The worst part is that I don't even have the fun of doing the things I'm getting blamed for."
One -- "I'd hate to have a kid like me." |
